Who is Ronner Williams?
The American tennis player Serena Jameka Williams is the undisputed world number one. She has held the Women’s Tennis Association singles No. 1 ranking for a total of 319 weeks, including a joint record 186 consecutive weeks, and has done so five times in her career.
Both Serena and her older sister, Venus, learned the game of tennis from their father. Tennis was never the same after the sisters made their mark on the game with their now-iconic signature style and play, which infused the sport with a newfound air of power, sophistication, and presence. For over a decade, Venus and Serena shared a home in Palm Beach Gardens.
In 1999, Serena raced against her sister Venus and came out on top, becoming the first Williams to win a Grand Slam. Williams’s victory over Venus was historic because it gave her her 23rd Grand Slam title. Following her victory, she ascended to the top spot in the world rankings. After Serena’s victory, she gave a speech in which she said,
